PeggyJean from the Maine and BirdCam forums is reporting the first egg at around 6 pm mountain time! Grin Grin Nothing in Daily Pics, so I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow for a glimpse.

I am so glad to hear the news - they had a tough year last year, and it would be nice to see them raise a little family this year. love

Added - Hi Donna! I think we were posting at the same time.

Thank you so much for your report of their activities - I can't wait until morning. Grin

Clapping Thank You JudyB and Donna!

Big thank you to PeggyJean too!

I think the 6 pm pic on the "Daily Pix" maybe shows her looking at the egg but cannot see the egg.

(I was over in Trabuco Canyon "owls" at the time - much excitement over there too as Pete cleaned the cam and gave an on-the-spot report. Soph will have a video up anytime now.)

wow! I wondered why they were both in the nest as it was almost dark. I am elated that this nest will be active this year....snow predicted for Thursday. Maybe an inch or 2. Then a warm up so it will melt quickly...but could be windy....

This was one of the first nests that I watched back quite a few years ago. I'm so glad to hear that they are active and that there is an egg!!!! They had such a rough year last year with a horrible snow storm...I wish them good luck this year! I'll be watching. love

P.S. I wonder if this is a new Mom?

PeggyJean posted a video on You Tube. I hope this works....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpjpS6CXsLk

she fiddled with light etc and eagle behavior shows pushing and a possible egg roll....morning is dawning here in Colorado so we will soon be able to watch the cam to see. No snow today and temps in the 30's. Last year the first egg was laid on Feb 17th.

Mom just did an egg roll. It was difficult to really see the egg, but she rolled something...

Mom just stood up. I had a clear view of the egg.
