It's brilliant to have you there to say what's really happening off Camera!!
The nest is looking good now, isn't it!!

It was a beautiful day today, nothing like yesterday, but rains are said to be heading for us

Hi Doug, Pat, and ig!
Thanks Doug! I knew the times I was able to have the cam up, I could hear Ma and Pa...they sounded so close, but never did see them. The babysitting tree explains that now! So glad you stopped in with your observations....it makes it all so clear for us.
Pat, eigouc, and ig, glad to have you guys drop in also...I usually end up talking to myself here.

I just discovered that Hornby is back in action! So glad to see it.
I logged on about 5:00pm when one parent flew in. She (I think) fussed around with the nest bowl, picking up bits and spitting them out. Then she started moving the fir branchletts around. Cam swithched to the CU but only caught a brief sort of profile and then she switched to present her rear fan to the cam. Cam then switched back to the upper cam. Mom hopped up onto the CU cam box and started watching the area to the left of the snag. Dad came flying in. He landed in the bowl, started moving sticks around. Both stayed in those locations for about 15 minutes. Watching the surrounding areas, they were on alert to unknown activities. As it got darker and darker, Mom (I think) on the CU box flew off, followed shortly by Dad.

I like BET's last picture of the eagles. On my own TV set, the background was darker and the two white heads stood out like fluorescent white paint - a very striking picture.
I have never known where they go to roost at night - but not in their nest, unless when there are eggs or chicks in the nest.
