This area is being hit with winter again. The nest if snowy and looks like it is still snowing.

And I was hoping to find Lucy sitting on an egg ....maybe soon.

Hi Donna and CAL -
I saw a couple of quick visits today, but as it was only one each time, it probably was Larry. I suppose Lucy might be taking a bit of a last fling before nesting - I hope.

8:20 am
Someone just visited the nest - have pics I can add tonight. I haven't watched enough to be able to tell them apart, I'm afraid.
8:49 am
Back again briefly, moving fluff around.
8:53 am
Back with a big stick.
10:36 am
Back again, moving sticks. Didn't see him arrive so don't know if he brought one in.
When I look at it as a scientist, I expect he's just doing what instinct tells him to do this time of year - add sticks, bring in soft fluff, make a nest cup where eggs can be laid. But even though I know eagles don't look at things the way people do, I find it hard to watch him fixing up the nest "just right" and not knowing if Lucy is going to return to share it with him.
Stayed almost an hour, spending most of the time standing and looking. (Eagles seem to spend lots of time standing and looking.)
1:58 pm
Back again. Moved a bunch of fluff, and is now looking around. Left a few minutes later.
2:35 pm
Back again and moving sticks around. Having trouble getting one of the big sticks exactly where he wants it.

I watched this cam from 8:26 to 9:26 in and out watching........I believe it was Larry in the nest by himself.
He kept moving the same stick over and over. Sometimes he lifted up off the nest with big wings to move it. It is now situated from 9 to 1. This would have been great video footage......at times I could feel his frustration, but determined as he was he got the job done. The nest has lots of sticks to clean up.

I did not snap anymore pics but it was interesting to see how determined he was and how he worked at it until it was done. He would stand in one place and watch before he tackled it again.
