Here are some pics from its 40 min visit.

Whoooooo Hooooooo both Ma and Pa in the nest from 7:25 until 9:41 or so.

They were in and out but mostly they were there together. For a while one of the eagles my guess is Ma was resting in the nest bowl.

It has been extremely windy along the front range so all the leaves that were in the nest are gone. The eagles seemed to be fine in the wind.

For some ??? reason the date is one day ahead. These were all taken on the 26th of October.

Nice to have a little visit via pics with the SV eagles.

Hi Castor. One of the eagles returned to the nest at 4:06 mdt. It stayed until 4:36. It dug around in the nest bowl and sat along the fence at 12.

Castor I agree that this nest is in beautiful country. There are ponds around the nest tree and open fields also.

The eagles are busy nestorating. The nest is a mess with all the high winds that have been blowing in this area. There are sticks everywhere.

7:58 One eagle is beginning to move sticks around the nest.
8:00 stick being moved from 11/12
8:02 Stick in place
8:04 eagle is facing 10/11.
8:06 eagle is now and 3 and picking up a rather large stick and trying to decide where it will go.
8:08 still at 3 with the stick
8:12 stick has been moved to the middle of the nest.
8:16 eagle is now working with a big stick at 9
8:18 both eagles are in the nest but it does not stay very long.

I think these 2 pics are of Pa. I see that brown spot on the head of one of the eagles. I noticed that on Ma last season. I believe she was on the nest first today.

This was a surprise for me to see them for so long and now I need to get those leaves bagged up before the wind picks up again. Hope you loved seeing Ma and Pa.
