Parent covered prey (and part of eaglet) with green grass, now facing out and
calling out. Parents are rough about where they step--awfully close and on eaglet!

Pat I'm going on both sides of your above post...

Times are on the ‘scaps

During this shift change I noted the female curled her talons in and she settled over the chick. Perhaps the males are less careful with weaker instincts just as with our Sidney Pa who has and does step on Solo

I seen no submissive postures during this particular shift change but will watch for it.

Times on ‘scaps

Parent got up to eat and offered the chick one bite. It then swallowed a very large piece, which included a long leg and a foot. It was a large bird of some kind and she had trouble getting it down but did.
