There is definitely one, snowy white eaglet in the nest! Clapping

Hi Everybody wave

I’m not going to be able to help much with notes here due to a health issue but I am watching this nest and if I see something that could use some notes and don’t see anyone posting I’ll try

These scaps are “nest time”

3:47 pm I see the wee white chick and Ma is there

3:48 pm she’s looking at the baby

3:49 pm the baby looks in her direction (doubt it can see much)

Nice catch Bairbrie and Lori. Left thumb up

When I tuned in Mom was already on the nest brooding so I didn't get a chance to see the chick.

The time in zone for Johannesburg is below the cam on our HWF page. It's just after 4:00 pm.

Thank you Judy, from now on I'll capture the time below the nest that way I have less typing anyway which is my biggest problem right now. I've corrected my above times to the right time. I did those in my head, shows where my head's at Titter

Is it a big deal to move the time to above the cam instead of below it? Then in the captures we wouldn't have all the buttons in the pic

4:58 pm
Mom is up for a stretch while the chick is bobbing about in the bowl.

5:00 pm
Mom picks up a red prey nestover from the nest and moves it closer to the chick.

5:02 pm
FIRST MEAL.
Mom is feeding the chick.

5:03 pm
Mom has moved the prey item so close to the chick that the little one is practically leaning on it.
Feeding continues. Chick is eating well.

5:06 pm
Feeding continues. It's amazing that this newly hatched chick can eat this much Oh My

5:07 pm
Suddenly the feeding is over and Mom moves around to the other side of the bowl.
She snuggles in with the chick under her breast.
Lots of food still sitting on the nest. Mom eats a few pieces while she broods.

I hate to think what that stuff is for the first feeding - but it looks an evil goo - but chick loves it!!
