There is an excellent cam in Poland of two storks that have just laid two eggs in the past 72 hours. It is in Trzciance, Poland, I believe. Late starters, I understand since they are usually much further ahead than at this laying stage in late April. If the link does not work, you can try P.T.O.P. Salamandra, a conservation organization in Poland. The word for stork is "bocian". I like the egg count in the corner of the cam!

Above is the newer/easier link to the white storks in Poland. They are very active and take turns looking after the young and now have 4 eggs! I read that they usually have 3-5 (rarely 6) eggs and that these will probably hatch at the end of May/ beginning of June.

The first chick has hatched in the stork nest in Trzienka, Poland. Three eggs to go. This is a great nest to watch. Always something happening.
The link is:

www.salamandra.org.pl and go to the bocianonline link.

Beau would you like a discussion thread set up for that camera ? We can easily do that for you.

Either there is a bright light near this nest or they have a night vision camera

ETA: There is now a thread for this cam forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=66843
Just as I was making the opening post Mom was up long enough for me to see that there are now 2 chicks hatched. Smile

Hello STORKFRIENDS
I´m a member of a stork - forum in Dinkelsbühl/ Bavaria / Germany.
www.storch24.de
If you click the bottom " : Aktueller Tagebucheintrag" you can read what happens the last days in this sork - nest. On the end of this side you can find the bottom google translate. So you can read the whole forum in english.
The population of the white stork is growing up each year. 219 stork - pairs have bred in 2010 and only one year later there have been 243 pairs.
