From Mama today: I drove by the Mazzios tower nest today. I could see Kat, the eyas of Kay and Jay in the nest. She appeared to be eating. I saw one parent on the tower at KJRH. Kat has not fledged yet!!
How do I get this page after I login without going through 10 different links-well it seems like 10. Cant I go directly here? When i come here to read then try to sign in it sends me back some main page i guess... i cannot get used to it, I am used to coming straight to the page i want.

Went by nest today. Kat was not visible most of the time I was there. I did manage to get one picture where you can just barely see her. Her breast certainly is red!!
Please note - I am not much of a photographer and this was the first time I used this camera.

Good job Mama - looks like a big 'ole Robin sitting there - I will try to check this weekend with my binocs and see if there is any activity. Looks like we are going to have great weather here in Tulsa.
Happy Weekend all.

I went by the nest this afternoon. I checked it from three different angles but I saw no movement at all in the nest. One of the adult hawks was sitting on the golden rod at the station. I can not tell if it was Jay or Kay.

I got down to the nest this morning. I could see there was still a hawk in the nest. Tried to take pictures but did not get anything useable.

I finally remembered to take my binocs for checking the nest. Yesterday around 5 p.m. I saw no activity and no signs of any member of the hawk family. Then, around 5:45 when i went back I saw Kat sitting up on the edge of the nest. He/she is huge - looks even bigger than Kay or Jay - one of the parents was facing South at the KJRH tower.
I'm wondering if Kat has fledged and was just returning to the nest - dunno - but I sure couldn't see any signs of life the first time and Kat seems too large to miss if he/she were there.
Cheers
