I can't seem to get any photo's in a group. i don't see add more pages in my bottom menu...

Ok this is what i have .. i used Snap and Drag to copy it

You are on the right track and I should have explained how to open a book.

You have a screen capture of the drop-down menu so that you can chose the layout of a book. Choose any one of those, click on "choose theme" and a book layout will open. Then use the <- -> at the bottom of the screen to scroll through the pages until you find a page layout that you like.

Example:
I chose Modern Lines then clicked on "choose them".

Once the book cover appears you can click on the double arrow at the bottom to scroll to a new page to find collage layouts

Here's a view of a page I chose. Now I can drag my pictures into the blanks.'

By the way, I was checking the themes and the one that says Watercolor has beautiful colored backgrounds.
I think this could turn out to be lots of fun.

And I like the one called "Photo Corners"

Here is the one of Phoebe... when i drag the caps into I PHOTO I get the yellow ! over them when i move them to the collage ... saying low quality... Like this

Also is there away to make these pictures bigger... yours are so much nicer.. also i don't have Photo Corners in my choices.. strange..

No rush for any of this ... i am going over with the boys till after supper...

Well isn't that disappointing.
In my original examples I had used actual photos and wondered why you had the icon show up on yours. I've now tried again with screen captures and I got the same dreaded warning icon that you did. :dry:
It must be that iPhoto is recognizing that the screen captures aren't top quality needed for the books in order to purchase them.
I had great hopes that we could use iPhoto for our collages but it obviously doesn't work properly for our screen captures ----------- The search continues for something that does work
