It's been a year and a half since we lost our big yellow lab and it's ok to cry.

Good Morning ~~ It has taken me a while and with a broken heart to be able to post this .I had to put my precious 12 year old Sheltie ,Danu, to sleep on June 10 ,after a short illness .It goes with saying that his passing has left me with an emptiness that is hard to describe . I want to tell you all some of the cheerful things i will remember about him . Danu was always happy , playful , good natured and my best Friend ~ Danu loved to walk and we walked many miles every day ,greeting everyone he saw with his tail wagging. Danu was also a Therapy Dog who loved visiting Seniors , bringing much joy and comfort to them and assisting children with reading difficulties . Danu will be greatly missed and i will remember him with much love and gratitude for all the wonderful days we spend together .

Bev you already know from our many conversations how my first sighting of sweet Danu when I made your avatar just went straight into my heart. His most sweet and loving face will do that. Now all his friends over the rainbow bridge get to experience that joy also and we have him with us safely tucked in our hearts forever!

I'm sure your many memories give you strength as you get use to your new normal now and Danu is only a thought away

Dear Friend. You already know how our hearts grieve with you. Although it sounds trite, I know that every precious memory you have of Danu will comfort you. I'm glad for the 12 years you had together, and the unconditional love that you shared. Much love and big hugs.

A note to Danu......

Remember to lick your mom awake each day with the glistening of the sun,
remember to make her smile when she sees the places you walked daily.

Make her feel your presence in her life and in her heart
remembering the joy that she gave to you with such unconditional love on her part.

We will all miss you and we all loved you, yet
you know she loved you true, and will continue to with each thought anew.

Dear Bev,
Oh...my dear friend... we know the emptiness you feel in your heart. Each time I looked at your avatar it truly made me smile. Danu was such a hansdome dog. I know that his heart was just as warm and beautiful as he looked on the outside!
