Dear Richard, we've known this time would come but it is always a shock when we know the end is so near. You have put up a valiant fight and have kept such a positive outlook; you are such an inspiration to all of us. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I will always cherich the memories of times spent with you. You have provided HWF with valuable expertise in your efforts to bring us many hours of education, wonder, and sometimes hearbreak, along the way. You once said 'Onwards and upwards' in one of your posts. You amaze me that you continue to fight your battle with such compassion, dedication and determination until your final day on this earth. Every time I look upwards at an eagle soaring in the sky, I will be thinking of your spirit soaring with that eagle. You may be physically leaving us but will always be with us in spirit. I wish you a peaceful and pain-free passing my friend; you will always be in my heart

Dear Richard,

I will always remember you perched very comfy on your Goldwing. Little do we know how special a photo may become, I remember the day it was taken. As well, an eagle soaring high above will always bring fond memories of you.

You have chosen to share your personal journey with us, I hope in turn you feel the friendship and love that is within these pages for you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as your journey draws to an end, and as well with your family..... as they prepare for what is to be.

But then I thought... what a rewarding and fullfilling life you have lived Richard! Then I smiled!
You are one in a million. I know there is a very special and awesome place 'somewhere' out there for you. The eagles are there too.

To Richard's family.... I know your are full of love and pride for Richard. How very lucky you all are for having him in your lives. Richard will never ever be forgotten.
