Good Morning Everyone, :hello:

Diane~~~Well you'll probably find some apples, but they will be few. As for the trees themselves, they should be fine as the growers are trying to keep them healthy for the following year. Oh Rocky and Jackson sure look like they are happy and content to be with you. I just feel sorry for Dennis having to work so much. Yuck! That little fawn is so cute with his ears sticking up. We usually see a few deer out back, but haven't seen any for quite some time now. We even stuck a salt block out there, but still haven't seen any. :dunno:

Jan~~~I just have to ask what kind of floors will you have? Hopefully they will be the kind that are easy to take care of. That's got to be hard for your son to work and build those fireplaces all at the same time, but he sure is doing a wonderful job. Can't wait to see the big one. I hardly payed too much attention to my hummers last summer as I was so busy with the downed trees. I sure am enjoying them this summer.

Mary~~~Welcome to Michigan. Grin Now I just hope the weather here will treat you kind. It's pretty nice here today and I hope you're having the same weather. It has been dry here and i have to keep an eye on watering my flowers and vegetables quite often. You'll have to tell us how your trip went.

Cindy~~~I pray that all is well with you and your family.

Vicki~~~I pray that all is well with you also.

Been busy with the watering and watching my birds and squirrels. I'm getting ready to go to a wedding shower so I best get going.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week-end.

Good Afternoon Everyone,:hello:

I just thought I would drop in a post a few pictures of the Squirrels I've been watching. I was amazed to see two of them one my feeder at the same time. They usually don't like sharing. Then there was another one trying to get on also. Titter

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

Hello Ladies! :hello:

Elaine... well it looks like our pleasant summer weather will get HOT again. Here they are taling maybe 100! I hate it! The squirrels are so funny. I love the one doing a 'hand 10' in the background. Well.. not sure how many toes they have! It had been a long whilse sine we have seen any fawns at the cabin. Even the deer are getting scarce. We th ink it is the cyotes getting the fawns each spring. So sad. We hear them howling and barking in packs just about every night when we take the dogs out for the last time of the night. Sometimes kind of close or off in the distance.

Jan... Oh what a lovely beautiful home! I wish all of you good healthe and lots of fun memories there for many years! Keep us posted. Glad you like my doggie photos.

Cindy... sure hope things are going well. MIss you here and hope to get an update soon. praying for all of you too!hug

Mary... did you get to MI about the same time you usually do? It seemed later or maybe I just don't really know.:dunno:

Vicki... you still out there??? I'm sure you are busy. hope you and Munch are well.Red Heart

Well we started another project here. Our deck is 25 yrs old. We thought we were just going to replace the floor boards. NOT! There has been damage going on under the deck we did not know. Lots to do. With Dennis still working 12 hrs and most Saturdays it is hard to get work done. I do what I can but, this old woman is getting older. I told Dennis I hope I will be able to knit/crochet again after this project. Holding a hammer and hammering is killing me. So we tore the deck apart and each board I would hammer the nails down so the wood will fit better in the trailer to take to the dump. Plus less likely someone would get hurt by a nail sticking up. Lots of wood... lots of nails. Here are a few photos...

Take care all you nice ladies!

I sure do miss my.... Peeing Bear Fountain!!!!!

Hi Diane~~~Yep, I do believe day will be the best day for awhile. I don't like the "Hot Weather" myself. It seems to zap the energy right out of a person. It was so nice not to have the air conditioning on and let the fresh air in. I could also hear my birds so well in the mornings. I heard one this morning and it was a baby cardinal wanting the parent to feed it. Those babies are so cute no matter what kind of bird they are.

I don't envy you a bit with that deck project going on, especially now that it's going to get hot. I'm sure our deck should be replaced but haven't even thought about doing it. Maybe we should as I'll be home now. Gosh your deck looks a whole lot bigger than ours is. I hope you don't over do it. It's going to look beautiful when you get it done. Just taking the old boards off must be quite the chore in itself.

I'm pretty much thinking the coyotes are probably responsible for us not seeing as many deer. Greg seen a coyotes while coming home one night at it was right in front of our house by the road. Yuck!!! I do believe that's why our rabbit population is also down. I've only seen one this summer. I hope he's careful out there.

You take care also and watch the heat.

:hello: Hi Everyone! :hello:

I finally just had to pop in to see what's been going on .... Smile

I see that the house is coming right along for you and your family, Jan. What great looking stonework on those fireplaces!! Left thumb up It will be so nice when it is completed and you are all moved in. Then of course you will have putting in a yard to keep you busy .... Wink How is the quilting going?? Any new projects yet?

I don't envy you the deck work, Diane. We've done several in the past years. The one we have now we had someone else do ... Those projects take so much time. We jackhammered out our front and back porches a few years back ... that was a ton (literally!) of work. Faint But it will feel good to have it done, I'm sure. I really enjoyed  the photos of your dogs, too!! They sure look happy. Grin

I have been following all the news about the heat Sunny wave hitting the rest of the country, Elaine .... Phew not good! I think we are one of the only areas to have rain Rain and cool temperatures. I heard today that that is coming to an end as of the 4th of July ... the heat from Colorado is making its way out west ... guess our summer has just been slow in getting here is all ... Love the squirrel photos!! We have a family of two parents and four little ones this year ... they keep Pete busy for sure. Titter

Pete and BobCat are enjoying having me home for now. BobCat has decided that he likes the babies, too. He likes to walk just ahead of them and get them to follow him as they crawl. Alexa is taking steps, and Katelyn is not far behind, so the game may not be as much fun for him when they can catch up to him.

Don and I are recovering ... it's a slow process, but it is a bit better each day. We have decided to go and check out some street legal dune buggy's ... He said it's time to consider four wheels this time around ... we'll see what he thinks when he actually tries one out ... Roll eyes

I've spent a little time watching the nests and the photos of the eagle families ... hard to believe that another Sitting eagle season is almost complete ....

Here are the latest photos of the babies ... they are growing so fast!! The girls will be one on the 20th, and Andrew is five months!! Wooh

Take care friends ... hug

Oh Cindy~~~It's so good to hear from you again. I keep checking in here to see if you've posted. It's so good to hear that you and Don are both healing from your accident.

I have so many squirrels here and they sure do like to eat. They usually come in the mornings. I can usually count eight of them at a time and that's not even counting the fox squirrels. They usually come a bit later in the morning. I have a lot of black and grey squirrels early in the morning.

It sure has been hot here and humid to boot. We haven't had any rain in quite some time. I usually water my vegetable and flower garden every other day. I have also tried to keep some water on the grass but it is a bit spotty with some brown in it. I went to work this morning and walked out to the mail box and the only thing that was green in the yard out front was the weeds. Everyone's lawns are getting pretty brown. I hope you don't get too hot as it sure seems to zap the energy out of a person. I sure am glad we have central air.

That is so hilarious about how BobCat is reacting to your grandchildren. Pretty soon he's going to have to move a little faster.Titter Gosh your wee ones are really getting big. Looks as if Grandpa has his lap full. I can just imagine how much you and Don are enjoying them. They sure are cuties. Red Heart

I'm thinking I might just have to borrow BobCat if my cats don't straighten up. The other morning I could tell Rocky was on the hunt for something as he was really intense in the back room and didn't want to eat his breakfast. Greg thought it was probably just a bug. Well it tuned out to be a mouse. He did manage to catch the thing, but ran into our sons old room with it. He then proceeded to drop it and away it went. Evil I use that room for storage and quite a bit of things in it along with three huge car cases that hold my husbands model cars. I started moving things around and it came out again and ran over my foot. From there I don't know where it went. :dunno: I though Rocky might get it sooner or later but nothing has happened so far. Roll eyes Oh well, it just seems like a strange time of the year for a mouse in the house.

Jan~~~We hope to hear from you and find out how the house is coming along. I hope everything is going smoothly for you.

Diane~~~I certainly hope you're not overdoing with your deck project in this heat. It sure has been a hot one. Have you had any rain lately?

Vicki~~~We're waiting to hear from you also and how your trip to Canada was. I hope it's wonderful.

Mary~~~Been wondering how you are doing here in Michigan. Have you been dumpster diving yet? Titter

Well I have yapped enough. Wishing everyone a wonderful day. hug
