I do for sure notice a certain fear when they're both on the nest, seems like the male is very dominent but I need to watch longer to get a real sense of who they are. I'd really love to see some food come in and see the male do some brooding also. Those things have just got to be happening while I'm sleeping

- to obtain detailed information about the Lesser spotted eagle feeding in Latvia

The main reasons for decreasing of the population

- intensive harvesting of old forests

- forestry operations in the breeding period

- decrease of the main feeding habitat areas (grassland) as a result of intensive agriculture, development of infrastructure and afforestation

- shooting in the migratory routes

I watched for an hour and 10 min's, she stood up once...called lots and she's got a woodpecker for a neighbor somewhere around her. I'll check back in later with her

8:21 she returns, admires egg(s) and settles in

I can't tell if there's one or two or more, the bowl is too deep
