Priscillsh thanks for the video. I sure have my talons crossed for these two chicks. I am very puzzled over them not staying on the nest. I know this is a first year dad but mom has had chicks before.

7:27 Parents are still not on the nest. EAglets are snuggled at center nest.

Now I'm definitely worried!! It gets cold in Minnesota at night!!! again

7:45 Mom came down into the nest from up above. BB adjusted the lighting on the cam so nest could be watched longer.

7:55 Mom is standing near 7 with lets in front of her. She has been beaking with them both. There is still no food, but it looks like each chick has a little crop.

8:30 cdt cam off air as it is solar powered. It will be on air about 7:15 am cdt.

Mom was on nest with lets. She found one or two nestovers but not big pieces. Hoping for food on the nest in the morning and that whatever was bothering them all day is long gone.

7:21 to 7:35 Mom is brooding the eaglets. She is quiet. She is more alert and send out warning calls. She continues to brood. There is no food on the nest.


7:35 Mom exits from 3.


7:40 Mom returns. She moves to 10 and it seems she has a small critter. She works on the food. She eats several bites and maybe one or two small pieces to lets.

7:45 The younger eaglet snatches a big piece of food and in a minute gets it down.


7:48 Mom is off the nest again.

7:57 to 8:30 The lets have been snuggled while parents are off.

8:30 Parent lands on branch above could see shadow on the nest.



8:48 Mom returns to the nest. She settles. One chick had moved into the sun and seems to be happy there.
