Someone just popped in - quite literally! It is an amazing feature of a refresh cam - suddenly there's an eagle!

It's now 8:30 am and one is in the nest and the other just stopped by again.

Added - and of course, as soon as I posted that, the remaining eagle left. Still, it was wonderful to see them!

2:50....I think it's dad on the nest. He keeps looking and calling for her. Come on ma.
3:25.....poor dad, he just left after waiting 25 min. For mom.
Oh, he came back....he's gonna wait it out! She will show dad, I'm sure of it.
4:00 just checking in...both eagles on the nest. So good to see them hangin out together.

It does seem as if they're spending more time at the nest, doesn't it, Litz!

These pictures are from 5:17 - 5:19 pm. I thought perhaps Mom was going to spend the night, but she left soon after the second picture. (Dad left right afterwards.)

Litz, Judyb Thanks for your posts and scaps today. I saw the adults in the nest quite abit today.

Here are two of my scaps and a collage of the activity I saw this morning
and this afternoon.

1042 pm
Mom arrived at the nest and she remained in the nest
up until the live cam went down for the night.....

Wonder if she is going to lay her egg .... would not
be surprised if the eggs coming early this year.

Mom was still there at 11 pm. Guess we have to wait till morning
to see if there is an egg.

Great pictures and collages, Debs! Glad you thought to check - there wasn't anyone home the last time I took a peek.

6:15 am
Both on the nest. but Mom has moved around enough that I don't think there's an egg - though it might not be long.







Dad left at 6:18, and Mom is still sitting in the upper right part of the nest, where she was in the last two pictures above.

8:35 am

The nest was empty when I looked a couple of minutes ago, but both are there now.



They apparently didn't spend the night - laurad from the Maine forum started recording around 5 am and they both appeared at 5:47 am. I'm finding it interesting that they are visiting so late and so early.

8:44 a.m.
This looks like Mom perhaps nibbling on some nestovers this morning. Thank you everyone for your wonderful scappies. Looks like I missed a lot last week.



ETA: Both come to the nest during which time Dad covers up Mom's nestover to preserve it for later.


ETA: Another hour passed and Mom is home to eat. Dad showed up to watch. I think Mom is going to build up her strength by eating a lot and Dad is making sure she's doing it right!


10:48 a.m.
Both back on the nest. Dad is keeping watch over the nest rim at 5 o'clock and Mom is moving grass around at about 1 o'clock.
