|Description:||Sierra Club BC invites you to join us for a Climate Change discussion
For 5 years Sierra BC has been in the forefront of raising public awareness
about the need for action at both the local and policy level on climate change. All of our
campaigns, from Great Bear Rainforest, Oceans and Marine, Flathead River Valley,
or Endangered Species & Ecosystems Legislation are conducted through a climate change
lens. We bring this issue to the front and center every day no matter what the issue.
The science says we have 5 years to peak carbon emissions and begin to level off if we are
to avoid the tipping points that will bring catastrophic results.
Without national/international leadership the sub-national level has become perhaps
the most important place to act.
But what actions?
Please let us pick your brains. It is an important aspect of good design that we include the
best minds in the discussion. We include you in that number and would be very
grateful if you would join me at:
6336 Burns St, Burnaby on Wednesday March 31, 6 - 8 pm.
We will make a few brief contextual comments. After that, we'd like to hear from you.
(Light refreshments will be served.)
Chair, Sierra Club BC
