|Description:||A Celebration of Nature
The Brant Wildlife Festival is in its 18th season in 2008. This multi-week festival
was inspired by the beautiful Black Brandt goose. It migrates from California and Mexico
to Alaska and stops off in Parksville/Qualicum Beach to rest and feed. As many as 20,000 Brant
may be found along the shore at peak times at the end of March.
Throughout March and into April the Parksville and Qualicum Beach areas present exhibits,
lectures, demonstrations, nature tours and more to showcase the beauty and biodiversity of
this region of Vancouver Island.
Please check out the webpage for a full list of events, dates and fees.
Some events require a small fee and are best reserved early to avoid disappointment.
Highlights of the Brandt Festival will be posted to this calendar in the coming weeks!
