A bald eagle family in Delta, B.C. has a new addition, and its birth was an instant internet sensation.

Thousands of people tuned in online Monday as one of two eggs in the nest hatched.

The live webcam feed is sponsored by the Hancock Wildlife Foundation, which has put five cameras near nests around the province.

Another nest in Sidney on Vancouver Island has at least three eggs which could start hatching on Tuesday.
