LAWRENCE -- A bald eagle found nine weeks ago near death in Camden County was released to the wild Sunday at Mercer County Park Northwest.

The eagle was found in emaciated condition and dehydrated but recovered after its spell of convalescence at Toms River Avian Care.
To the delight of onlookers Sunday, the bird spread its wings and took flight once again, heading off to resume its solitary wanderings.
