Bald eagle population soars

    A survey by Kentucky biologists has found that the number of bald eagles nesting in the state rose sharply in the past year.

    The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources counted 151 occupied nesting territories in 2016, which is a 14 percent increase from last year and 51 percent more than in 2012.
