A Passionate Raptor Supporter Flies On.

Wildlife News

Maj would be the first to forgive me for forgetting to comment on her sad passing.  I was busy chasing eagles at the Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival when I heard the devastating news.
Few people have made such a positive impression on the conservation ethic of a community as Maj.  She mobilized the masses for the benefit of all.  Her pioneering efforts to maintain the Mountainaire Avian Rescue would be enough to accord her a memorable place in history.  She interacted with everybody.  She pioneered the Campbell River Bald Eagle Festival and spread the word of need and appreciation for these big predator-scavengers.
Many of us suffered with her as she lost her supportive husband a while back – and now we again suffer her sudden and unexpected disappearance.  I will always remember her kind and inquisitive face – and encouragement to do more for raptors.  Maj, you're loved and missed, but aliive in our hearts.
